Tennis Betting Tips: Fernandez to bounce back

It feels like it's been a while since I provided a tennis column, so I'm back to provide my best bets from across both the ATP and WTA Tours on Saturday.

I'm drawn to both events taking place in Cincinnati and you will find my Tennis Betting Tips below.

Set Betting - Casper Ruud to beat Arthur Rinderknech 2-1 @ 13/5

Arthur Rinderknech will be looking to flip the script when he faces Casper Ruud in the second round. Rinderknech has lost all four of their head-to-head meetings to date but only one of them has come on the hard court - which came at Acapulco earlier this year.

It will be the first time they square up in quicker conditions on this surface, which may help Rinderknech here. However, in the four previous matches between the two players, Ruud is yet to lose a set and he should be feeling very confident ahead of meeting number five.

I think Ruud will extend his winning record against the Frenchman, but Rinderknech has had a habit of advancing far in recent tournaments, and I think on this occasion he may just leave having taken a set off the Norwegian star.

Match Betting - Leylah Fernandez to beat Jessica Bouzas Maneiro @ 4/9

Leylah Fernandez’s time in Montreal was short-lived as she lost in the first round against Maya Joint. However, just days before she enjoyed one of the brigthest days of her career as she lifted the Washington Open title.

A premature exit at her home tournament was surprising but I get the sense it will prove to be a rare blip and that there is still much to come from her for the rest of the hard-court season.

She begins her Cincinnati Open campaign with a tough test against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, whom she is meeting for the first time on the main tour. The Spaniard defeated veteran Venus Williams 6-4 6-4 in the first-round.

Williams came from an early break down in both sets to draw level, but Maneiro broke again at vital moments to claim the victory. She fared well at the Canadian Open, where she made the quarter-finals before a loss to eventual champion Victoria Mboko, in the build up to this event.

This is a captivating contest on paper but going off what we saw from Fernandez at Washington, I believe she will have what it takes to edge this contest.

Set Betting - Emma Raducanu to beat Olga Danilovic 2-1 @ 11/4

Another first meeting on the WTA Tour lies ahead when Olga Danilovic and Emma Raducanu collide on Saturday. Raducanu has been enjoying some of her best tennis in recent months, as she looks like she is starting to show promise on court for the first time since her surprising US Open triumph four years ago.

She may not be winning tournaments on a regular basis but she is finding consistency in performances, which are allowing her to put winning runs together - something she has struggled to do in past seasons.

The Brit will have motivation in Cincinnati as a good run here will see her seeded at Flushing Meadows, and on current form, she could be a huge threat back at this Grand Slam. She is currently playing better than her opponent but Danilovic can cause problems of her own and I think she can ensure this contest goes the distance.

But I'm backing Raducanu to come out on top as I think she will be composed when she needs to be, and clinical in decisive moments.
