3 units Gerwyn Price to win @ 5/1
We got a satisfactory run for our money from Gezzy last week at the US Darts Masters, with a run to the semi finals. The Iceman cut a frustrated figure by the end in a 7-2 defeat to Humphries where he couldn’t find much at all. But he can be happy with his efforts before that - defeating Adam Sevada 6-2 in spectacular fashion, with an overall average of 102.47 and six maximums along the way. He backed that up with a 6-3 win over the returning Van Gerwen with a 98 average.
The Welshman has a nice enough path to the semi finals again - he faces the young Pole Sebastian Bialecki in the opening round, who hasn’t quite seen his career propel yet as many thought it would. Assuming Price can come through this, he’ll likely face Chris Dobey who he holds a very strong head-to-head record over. Instead of facing Humphries in the semis, he’d likely face one of Cross or Van Gerwen, hence why he’s in as second favourite but a very worthy one in my opinion.
He won two World Series events last year so will be keen to add his first one of 2025 sooner rather than later. He’s made the semi finals or better in all four World Series events this year so far, so looks a near certainty to be involved at the business end of this and will be favourite to at least make the final and possibly win it.

1.5 units Nathan Aspinall to win @ 10/1
I was worried I’d made a mistake leaving out Aspinall on my outright card last week in New York, as he really lit up the tournament with several eye-catching performances - The Asp averaged 105, 106 and 102 in his three matches on route to the final, before just running out of steam slightly against Humphries in the final, despite still only narrowly losing 8-6 to Cool Hand.
These impressive performances just add to the excellent form and results that Aspinall has been producing in recent months, which includes winning two Euro Tour events, having never won one previously. The confidence is building all the time as he starts to build some real momentum ahead of the World Matchplay later this month, where he’ll be defending the ranking money from winning it two years ago.
He’ll be keen to continue that feel good factor in Poland this weekend, where again he potentially faces Luke Littler in the quarter finals. Nathan will need to get past Radek Szaganski first, which I expect him to comfortably, as the Pole hasn’t been in any sort of form for a considerable time. Having struggled against him for so long, Aspinall finally seems to have solved the conundrum of beating Littler - he’s now won his last two meetings against the teenager, which included a 6-4 win last weekend, having to fend off a 109 average from Littler.
Due to that potential meeting with Littler, his odds are 10/1 which is far too big given his current form. If he gets himself into the semis, he has a fantastic chance of adding to his recent titles.
