The wait is over as Wimbledon gets underway on Monday for its 2025 edition and there is always plenty of excitement for the Women's singles draw because for several years it has been so wide open, allowing for a few surprises. The last eight champions have been different and Serena Williams in 2016 was the last person to defend her crown in SW19.

This recent trend suggests we should anticipate a new name on the trophy this summer but a former winner in Elena Rybakina is high up in the betting market, and the Kazakh star is getting plenty of backing to achieve more success at the Championships. Below I put forward my Women's Wimbledon 2025 predictions, aided by the latest outright odds.

Women's Wimbledon 2025 Betting Tips

  • Aryna Sabalennka - Winner @ 11/4
  • Elena Rybakina - Winner @ 6/1
  • Elina Svitolina - Winner @ 40/1

Women's Wimbledon Odds

Aryna Sabalennka - Winner @ 11/4

A few years ago, tennis fanatics were cautiously optimistic of what the future would hold for Aryna Sabalenka once she overcame the hurdle that was winning her first Grand Slam. It felt like a huge weight off her shoulders in January 2023 when she became the Australian Open champion, and she has since followed that up with another two majors, defending her crown in Melbourne in 2024, before triumphing at Flushing Meadows in the US Open later that year.

The Belarusian has been in good form in 2025 so far, albeit without the desired outcome as she reached the finals of the Australian Open and Roland Garros, with the latter being earlier this month. Losing consecutive major finals in a row may be a mental blow, but it has probably only spurred Sabalenka on.

She is after all the world number one and most would say she is the best player on the WTA Tour by some distance. Grand Slams may have evaded her this season so far but she has still won titles in Miami, Madrid and Brisbane.

With her ranking, though, she may feel as though she needs to win a major to validate her status, and she now only has two more chances to do that this year. The 27-year-old has enjoyed two semi-final runs at Wimbledon in the past, so most would say she's overdue a final appearance in SW19.

Sabalenka is a comfortable player on grass and has the qualities of a would-be champion. Her success rate in finals is not the best at just over 50%, suggesting there is something missing for her to become a truly dominant world number one.

Unlike a few years ago, the pressure is on her here given her rank and success in the past two years. It's all about how she handles it all. Her runs to the finals in Melbourne and Paris demonstrate her abilities, she just needs to show some composure if she is to tick off another major title.

Wimbledon - Outright Aryna Sabalenka

Tennis Odds

Elena Rybakina - Winner @ 6/1

After becoming the Wimbledon champion in 2022, you'd have expected Rybakina to have pushed on and perhaps have claimed another major or two by now but this is not the case.

She has made an appearance in an Australian Open final - losing to Sabalenka in 2023 - before making the semi-finals here last summer, losing out to eventual champion Barbora Krejcikova.

Rybakina's 2025 has not been ideal to say the least. She has one title of note at Strasbourg, while experiencing an early exit in Melbourne at the start of the year before a fourth-round exit at Roland Garros.

The big issue for her currently is all the noise off the court, particularly with coaches, which is messy to say the least. Rather than getting into the drama that reads like something from an ITV2 reality show, it's best just to say that this is not helping her career.

The 26-year-old is not currently playing to her limits, and you're probably wondering why I have listed her here, which is fair. However, a part of me is thinking that perhaps she needs to be back in an environment in which she has experienced success before, somewhere where she has been comfortable in the past.

It's a big if, and the odds are probably misaligned with where she currently is at present, but she is an excellent grass-court player and a strong run at Wimbledon once again might help her to get back on track.

In Betfred's outright market, the Kazakh star is followed by current French Open champion Coco Gauff (8/1), Iga Swiatek (9/1) and 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova (14/1).

Wimbledon - Outright Elena Rybakina

Elina Svitolina - Winner @ 40/1

To round off my predictions, I thought I might as well throw in a wildcard outsider and I believe there may be some value in Elina Svitolina at 40/1. The Ukrainian has enjoyed a semi-final run at Wimbledon twice in the past, with the most recent being two years ago, and there's an argument to be had that she's one of the best players on tour without a Grand Slam title to her name.

This year already she has made the quarter-finals at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, so she is continuing to show her ability to venture far in tournaments. Given the unpredictability at Wimbledon since 2017, the 30-year-old cannot be ruled out of perhaps delivering a career-best performance in SW19 over the next two weeks.

Wimbledon - Outright Elina Svitolina
