Hull KR vs Wakefield Trinity Odds

Rovers seem to be bigger favourites to win games with each passing week, and are 1/14 to get the job done at Craven Park on Friday. Wakey are 15/2 to upset the league leaders inside 80 minutes, with the draw 25/1.

The handicap markets throw up a bit more to get your teeth into, with a 20.5-point start handed to Trinity in return for a drop in price to 4/5. Rovers are 20/21 to overcome the disadvantage.

Team News

The most eye-catching piece of team news in either squad this week is the inclusion for the first time since February of Rovers forward Rhyse Martin.

The goal-kicking former Leeds Rhinos star has played just four times for the Robins because of injury but earns a place in the initial 21-man squad.

There is no James Batchelor this week though because of a throat issue, while Joe Burgess has been a notable absentee for the last two games.

Half-back Danny Richardson moved on loan to Salford Red Devils this week, so Harvey Horne takes his place.

Rugby League Odds

Trinity boss Daryl Powell makes three changes, with French forward Mathieu Cozza injured and winger Matty Russell dropping out.

The experienced Mike McMeeken has an injury too, so in come Thomas Doyle, Ellis Lingard and potential debutant Noah Nigh.

Handicap 3-way:  Hull KR -20 @ 20/21

Rovers are big favourites to win this one and get a massive 20-point handicap. That reflects how well they have been playing and how heavily they can score when in the groove, rather than being a criticism of Trinity.

Rovers can go six points clear with a win in this one, with Wigan playing away to Castleford Tigers a day later. I expect this to be a home win, and most would predict it to be comfortable. But this Trinity side has produced some big results already this season, not least in beating Wigan last week but also thumping Warrington Wolves 40-10 and also scoring 40 in victory away at Leigh Leopards.

So they are capable. Can they win this? I don't think so. Rovers are too good defensively, too professional in their approach to every game, and too clinical in attack.

Can they keep the score within 20? I think they have every chance, but it is still a bold bet. If Rovers get off to a flyer then the scoreboard could turn ugly very quickly.

I also worry about how much the injuries will hurt Wakefield's chances. So I am still going to stick with the home side on the handicap, but not with any huge degree of confidence.

If you place an in-play bet of £10 or more on this one, or either of Friday's Betfred Super League games (odds 1/2 +) then we will give you £5 in free bets to use in-play on any of Saturday's Betfred Super League games too.

Jack Broadbent anytime tryscorer  @ 1/1

So we've backed Jack Broadbent all season to great effect and tipped him for a try again last week. We decided not to back him though, looking for greater odds elsewhere, and of course he helped himself to two more tries.

So we are back on Broadbent this week to continue his red-hot form that has yielded nine Super League tries and counting - including six in his last four games.
