Tennis Betting Tips: More Monfils magic on Thursday?

We're now on Day Five of the 2025 French Open, with a whole host of matches from the Women's Singles and Men's Singles coming our way from Roland-Garros on Thursday.
Below are my Tennis Betting Tips for Thursday, May 29, with an evening encounter between Gael Monfils and Jack Draper my pick of today's second-round ties.
Tennis Betting Tips - Thursday, May 29
- Set Betting - Elsa Jacquemot 2-1 vs Alycia Parks @ 11/4
- Total Games 3 - Over 39.5 in Jacob Fearnley vs Ugo Humbert @ 1/1
- Total Games 2 - Over 35.5 in Gael Monfils vs Jack Draper @ 10/11

Set Betting - Elsa Jacquemot 2-1 vs Alycia Parks @ 11/4
Alycia Parks produced perhaps the shock of the Women's Singles so far, beating 14th seed Karolina Muchova in three sets (6-3, 2-6, 6-1) on Tuesday. The American secured her first main draw win at Roland-Garros in the process, and will take the confidence of that victory into her second-round match on Thursday against Elsa Jacquemot, who saw off Maria Sakkari (6-3, 7-6) to book her ticket to the next round.
Lyon-born Jacquemot is favourite to win this contest, roared on by a home crowd. While I think the 22-year-old will come through this match, Parks could take a set here.
Parks started quickly against Muchova, and showed great resilience after taking a 2-1 lead in the second set and losing 6-2.
I can see her making her mark early on again on Thursday, but mental fatigue could take its toll, and I'm unsure she will be able to cope with a partisan crowd, so Jacquemot looks a good bet to come from a set down and advance to the third round.

Total Games 3 - Over 39.5 in Jacob Fearnley vs Ugo Humbert @ 1/1
Jacob Fearnley and Ugo Humbert both sailed into the second round on Tuesday, each winning in straight sets. British No.2 Fearnley saw off Swiss veteran Stan Wawrinka (7-6, 6-3, 6-2), while French No.2 Humbert proved too much for Aussie Christopher O'Connell (7-5, 6-3, 7-6).
The Metz-born man is the slight favourite to win on Thursday, but backing either player to triumph looks risky.
Humbert has struggled previously under the bright lights at Roland-Garros, and he's encountered issues with his form and fitness this year, suffering a first-round defeat at the Madrid Open before retiring after 13 games in his first Italian Open contest.
Fearnley, meanwhile, hadn't played an ATP clay-court match until last month.
The 23-year-old wouldn't ordinarily be expected to pose much of a threat to Humbert here, but because of the aforementioned factors at play, he stands a good chance of taking him to four, and possibly five, sets.
Therefore, over 39.5 total games piques my interest here at 1/1.

Total Games 2 - Over 35.5 in Gael Monfils vs Jack Draper @ 10/11
As usual, Monfils put on a show at Roland Garros on Tuesday, recovering from two sets down to beat Hugo Dellien (4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 7-6, 6-1) in the first round of the French Open. The 38-year-old may be coming to the end of his career, but he's showing few signs of slowing down, and with a home crowd behind him, anything is possible for the Parisian.
On Thursday, though, Monfils takes on an ever-improving Draper, who also came from behind in the first round, overcoming Italian Mattia Bellucci in four sets (3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2). The British No.1 had entered the week with a 0-2 record at the French Open, but his newfound confidence on clay was evident for all to see as his match on Tuesday progressed.
Draper reached the final of the Madrid Open at the start of May, losing to Casper Ruud (5-7, 6-3, 4-6), before exiting the Italian Open to Carlos Alcaraz (4-6, 4-6) in the quarter-finals.
The 23-year-old is heavily fancied to ward off the threat of Monfils on Thursday, and while I wouldn't be confident in backing the veteran to pull off an upset, I'm optimistic the Frenchman can make a match of it.
Monfils' five-set victory in the first round, the 12th of his French Open career, put him in the record books, with no player in the new Open Era matching that five-set tally.
I see Monfils taking a set here and pushing another one or two to 10+ games, so backing over 35.5 total games between him and Draper, which landed in both players' first-round matches, makes a lot of sense at just under EVS.
