Premier League Darts 2025 Brighton Predictions: The Nuke to explode in boosted double

The Premier League is up to night five and our darts expert Sean Rafferty has given us his picks for the south coast. So, without further ado, here are his Premier League Darts 2025 Brighton predictions.
Premier League Darts Brighton Tips
- Gerwyn Price to checkout over 90.5 @ 4/5
- Luke Littler to beat Chris Dobey @ 1/4
2 units Boosted Double @ 5/4 6/4
- Luke Humphries Night 5 winner @ 2/1
Gerwyn Price to checkout over 90.5 @ 4/5
Both Price and MVG will be looking to bounce back quickly after a disappointing time of it in Minehead at the UK Open. Price lost 10-9 to Connor Scutt in an entertaining match on Friday night but ultimately it’s a disappointing result for Gezzy. MVG made heavy weather of things in a hard-fought 10-8 win over fellow countryman Dirk Van Duijvenbode in his opening match, where he looked far from convincing in spells, before losing 10-8 to Robert Owen in a bit of an upset - MVG worryingly missed a total of 26 darts at double in that one.
The two have had similar starts to the Premier League this year, as they occupy third and fourth places in the league table. They’ve had a tendency to have fairly tight matches and I can see this one being similar - four of their last six meetings in the same format as this have gone over 9.5 legs, so there’s a bit of value to be had there.
However, I’m opting for what I feel is a slightly better bet in Price to land a 91+ checkout in the match at 4/5. The Iceman has had a 91+ checkout in ten of the last fourteen matches that he’s played in the exact same format as tonight. It’s became a handy weapon of his that can snatch him wins even when he’s not at his best. In a match that looks extremely tight on paper, he may need one or two of these bigger checkouts to get over the line in an important match to keep away from the bottom four.
Luke Littler to beat Chris Dobey @ 1/4
A safer selection here but one that rounds up the double to a tasty price, a selection I feel comes with very little risk of not landing.
Littler won the UK Open in spectacular fashion, destroying James Wade 11-2 in the final, having led 9-0 at one point. The Nuke continued to impress all throughout the event - averaging 109-104-98-107-107-101 over his six matches that took him to the title. He really is making it look so easy and with him still not defending any ranking money he’s beginning to have that world number one spot in his sights, as he continues to stack up the prize money.
His opponent Dobey on the other hand, has failed to register a victory in any of the last three Premier League nights, despite reaching the final on the opening night in Belfast. He also suffered a disappointing defeat to Dimitri Van den Bergh at the UK Open last weekend, as he continues to search for the form he so often finds on the Pro Tour.
There’s a lot of pressure on Dobey with the need to register points becoming more critical by the week, I don’t think Dobey is the best at coping with pressure, so I expect a fearless Littler to win comfortably here, possibly by two or three legs.

Luke Humphries Night 5 winner @ 2/1
It’d be fair to say that Humphries has dominated this year’s Premier League so far - after just four nights of action, he’s already made three finals, winning two of them. As a result he sits a mile clear at the top of the table, currently seven points clear of Luke Littler in second.
'Cool Hand' will be looking to keep that momentum going to all but secure his spot in Finals Night at the O2 London in May. There’s every chance he may have the bit between his teeth this week, having failed to go all the way in the UK Open and perhaps after the fashion he went out in to James Wade in that quarter-final on Sunday afternoon in Minehead. Humphries lost 10-9 in a deciding leg to 'The Machine', having led the match himself for the majority. He’s also usually very gracious in defeat but he didn’t acknowledge Wade much after the match, with something definitely getting under his skin, so that may put a bit of fire in the belly.
He has a decent draw this week - sitting in the same half as Cross, Bunting and Aspinall, you’d have to say the world number one is in better form than all three, who all sit in the bottom half of the table. Despite not winning the UK Open, Luke still averaged 100+ in all four of his matches, so can’t be too disappointed with his performance. 100+ averages in 10 of his last 13 matches show the form is still very much there.
2/1 looks a nice price for Cool Hand outright, considering how he’s fared so far in this and the fact he has a nice draw in comparison to some other weeks.
