Christmas is almost here and with that inevitably comes the most wonderful time of the year - The PDC World Darts Championship at Ally Pally!

Last year's tournament was the most talked about and watched ever, primarily due to one man, or should we say boy? The phenomenon that was 16-year-old Luke Littler made it all the way to the final on debut and almost won the whole thing!

He's of course back again this year for another tilt and this time he's no longer the unknown underdog. Here at Betfred he's the betting favourite and to celebrate one year since that magical run, we're boosting him out to 9/4 which is the Top Industry Price amongst major UK bookmakers!

So if you are gonna back The Nuke to detonate again - why look anywhere else than the home of darts? - Betfred.

Many people were predicting after Luke's sensational performances at Alexandra Palace that he would go on to be the greatest of all time and perhaps even surpass Phil 'The Power' Taylor's record of 16 World Championships.

Whilst that remains unlikely and won't be decided until we're all old and grey, let's take a look at exactly what he's accomplished on his opening year on the PDC Tour.

What titles has Luke Littler won in 2024?

🏆 Grand Slam of Darts
🏆 Premier League
🏆 World Series of Darts Finals
🏆 Bahrain Darts Masters
🏆 Poland Darts Masters
🏆 Austrian Darts Open
🏆 Belgian Darts Open
🏆 Players Championship x3

Littler has won an incredible 10 PDC titles in 2024 earning him just over £1.1m in prize money! He won his first title at the Bahrain Darts Masters and went on to win several other ProTour, Masters Series and European Tour titles.

However, his biggest win so far came in the Premier League, where he not only finished top of the table, but then went on to beat World Champions in Michael Smith and Luke Humphries in the semi and final.

The Nuke then went on to surpass all those with his first major ranking title of the year, picking up the Grand Slam of Darts in November, where he demolished debutant Martin Lukeman 16-3 in the final, to pick up the £150,000 cheque.

Can he go one better this year and pick up the prestigious Sid Waddell Trophy at the World Championships?

Here at Betfred, we're taking him on and boosting him from 15/8 all the way out to 9/4, which at the time of writing is the Top Price anywhere on the market with any major UK bookmaker. You can load it straight to your slip by clicking the banner below...

We also have a host of other Nuke specials to get stuck into this tournament, including him to hit the most 180s. But how has he fared for maximums this year?

How many 180s has Luke Littler hit in 2024?

Apparently Luke hit his first 180 at the age of just six and his first nine-darter at 13! He's lost none of that ability and just seems to go from strength to strength.

In his first year on tour Littler has hit 771 180s at an average of 0.399 per leg, which is a new PDC record, beating the 714 by Michael Smith in 2022.

He has broken several tournament records for 180s this season including at the Grand Slam of Darts, where he hit a colossal 60 maximums, including 12 in the final.

He is currently priced at 6/4 to have the most 180s in the 2025 World Championships, which you can back below.

And how about those most treasured of legs? The holy grail that is the nine-dart-finish! Yeah, he's not bad at those either...

How many nine-darters has Luke Littler hit in 2024?

Littler had his first ever televised nine-darter on the junior development tour at the tender age of 14 but didn't have to wait long for his first on the PDC Tour.

The Nuke has hit four nine-dart-finishes in 2024, which ties the record with Michael van Gerwen (twice in 2016 and 2019).

They are:

19th January 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters 2024 vs Nathan Aspinall

12th February 2024 Players Championships 01 vs Michele Turetta

10th March 2024 Belgian Darts Open 2024 vs Rob Cross

23rd May 2024 Premier League 2024 vs Luke Humphries

So with one more, Luke will beat the record for most nine-darters in a calendar year. We price him up at 11/2 to do so!
