UK Championship Snooker Day 2 Betting Tips: Dean serves up a 28/1 Sunday treble

Sunday's action at the UK Championship sees eight more players looking to book their place in the last 16. On table one, 2022 champion Mark Allen will face Welshman Jackson Page followed by a highly anticipated clash between two-time winner Mark Selby and Jack Lisowski in the evening.
Table two starts with a couple of experienced veterans, Ali Carter and Ryan Day, in the afternoon before two of China's most exciting young players, Si Jiahui and Wu Yize, face off in the evening. As always we have our snooker expert Dean Strand (@DSSnookerTips) on hand to impart his wisdom, and following on from Saturday's predictions, his UK Championship Snooker Day 2 Betting Tips can be found down below.

2pts - Jackson Page to beat Mark Allen @ 21/10
Allen's season hasn’t really got going yet, with only one ranking event semi-final.
His last two ranking events have seen him exit in the last 32, with defeats to Oliver Lines and Xiao Guodong (6-2). He also lost again to Guodong last time out in the Champion of Champions, 6-3.
Last year he came here as defending champion but was beaten in the first round by Ding Junhui.
Page was highly rated as a youngster and after a tough first few seasons on tour, he finally seems to be showing signs of reaching his potential.
So far this year he’s beaten Higgins and Selby to reach the World Open semi-final, reached the final of the Championship League in the first event of this season, and reached the International Championship final last time out.
He’ll be in good confidence coming into this match, having won eight of his last 10 matches, including against Gilbert, Carter and Pang as well as heavy wins over Robertson and Vafaei.

2pts - Allister Carter vs Ryan Day - No Century @ 11/4
Carter and Day is a tough match to call. They’ve had 12 meetings in their career since their first in 2002, winning six each with Carter winning their most recent five.
A lot of their matches tend to turn scrappy, with only two centuries made in their last five head-to-heads. In their most recent meeting at the British Open last year, there was only one 50+ break in the six frames.
Neither player has a good recent record at the Barbican either. Since Day's run to the semi-final here seven years ago, neither player has made it to a quarter-final with Day's win over Jimmy White two years ago the only recent last-16 appearance here for either player.
So far this season both players have played five best of 11 matches, Carter has failed to make a century in three of them and Day has failed to make a century in four of them, so odds of 11/4 for no centuries in this one look a decent price to me.

2pts - Jack Lisowski to beat Mark Selby @ 6/4
Jack Lisowski seems to enjoy playing at this venue. In the last four years, he’s had two quarter-final appearances, and two years ago, he was only one frame away from reaching the final with a 6-5 defeat to eventual winner Mark Allen in the semis.
Before that he’d enjoyed three dominant wins over Xu Si, Hossein Vafaei and Shaun Murphy, losing just four frames.
His record against Selby is decent, too. Selby leads the head-to-head 7-5 but Lisowski has won both best of 11 matches between the two, one in the Shanghai Masters and the other in a World Grand Prix semi-final.
Their most recent meeting came in last year's British Open quarter-final and Selby won that one but it did go to a deciding frame.
