NBA Betting Tips: 10/1 treble to follow on Monday

After just falling short on Friday, landing two-out-of-three, I'm back again with another treble for Monday's NBA action.

My NBA betting tips will focus on the huge Eastern Conference match-up between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, the Cleveland Cavaliers' trip to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks, and Toronto's home encounter with Denver.

Today's NBA Odds

Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks - Celtics -8.5 @ 10/13

The Celtics will be out to defend their perfect start to the season when they welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to TD Garden on Monday night (23:30, live on TNT Sports 3).

Boston are already 3-0 for the season, and looking like the team to beat once again (3/1 outright to win NBA Championship), following three impressive performances.

The C's dominated the Knicks 132-109 in their season opener, followed by a 122-102 triumph over Washington, as well as a 124-118 win on the road against Detroit.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee have experienced a fairly poor start to the season by their standards, blowing away the Philadelphia 76ers in their opening game of the season, before losing to a high-scoring Chicago Bulls team on Saturday and falling to the Brooklyn Nets last night.

It is worth noting that the Bulls had their best shooting night since 2021 in that defeat, so perhaps not the time to push the panic button, yet.

Of course, this will be a difficult match-up for Milwaukee, but Doc Rivers' side did beat Boston in their most recent encounter in April. However, I struggle to see the Celtics losing here - they look unstoppable at the moment.

New York Knicks vs Cleveland Cavaliers - Moneyline - Knicks @ 20/29

My second pick comes from the bright lights of MSG as the New York Knicks welcome the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers to the Big Apple.

The Knicks have had a mixed start to the new season - as mentioned above, they were dominated by the Celtics before blowing out the Indiana Pacers in a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference semi-final.

On Monday, they will look to hand Cleveland their first loss of the season, but it won't be an easy feat by any means, as the visitors have had a surging start to the new campaign.

The Cavs dismantled the Washington Wizards 135-116 on Saturday night to take their record to 3-0, and they're outscoring their opponents by an average of 20.3 points per game.

It still feels like New York are figuring things out rotation-wise after the arrivals of Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges in the summer, but the emphatic victory over Indiana was a glimpse of what the future holds for the Knicks, in my opinion.

I think NY will continue their fine run against Cleveland here - they've won eight of the last 10 games against the Cavaliers.

Toronto Raptors vs Denver Nuggets - Moneyline - Raptors @ 11/4

Finally, we head to the Scotiabank Arena where the Toronto Raptors host the Denver Nuggets.

Surprisingly, the Nuggets are still awaiting their first victory of the season, after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in their opening encounter, and the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

Nikola Jokic continues to perform at an MVP-calibre level, scoring 41 points, nine rebounds and four assists in that defeat against LA, but a lack of reliable squad depth has contributed to Denver's early-season struggles.

A trip to Toronto could be just what they need to get up-and-running, especially since the Raptors' offensive unit is yet to click, as shown by their tally of 107.3 points per game - the fifth-worst attacking output in the league.

However, I'm stunned at how underwhelming the Nuggets have been so far this season, and I can't justify backing them at 2/7, so I'm taking a punt on Toronto at 11/4.

Despite producing 66 turnovers in their first three contests, I like the fact that Toronto have battled through those mistakes, and I think they can cause an upset here.
