Lions vs Cowboys Predictions: Lions can add to Cowboys’ Arlington anguish

The AT&T Stadium used to be a fortress for Dallas but that has not been the case this season for the Cowboys, as they prepare to host the Detroit Lions on Sunday night (22:25, Sky Sports NFL).
Dallas have played two home games this season - against the New Orleans Saints and the Baltimore Ravens - and have come up short in both of those clashes. Sunday provides an intriguing contest between experienced quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Jared Goff but it’s the Cowboys’ lack of a running game that could well prove the difference maker in Arlington this weekend.

Team News
Starting with the hosts, Dallas have key figures Micah Parsons (ankle) and Trevon Diggs (illness) both rated as questionable for Sunday.
Eric Kendricks (calf) and Nick Vigil (unknown) are also questionable, while Marshawn Kneeland (knee) is on the injury reserve list.
As for the Lions, Christian Mahogany has been ruled out of the trip to Arlington, while Derrick Barnes (knee), Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) and Marcus Davenport (triceps) are also on the injury reserve list.
Kerby Joseph is working his way back from a hamstring injury and is questionable for the weekend.
The Cowboys are the 7/5 underdogs on home turf this weekend on the money line, while the Lions are 4/7 to come away from Arlington with the W.
In the U/O total points market, there's 10/11 to be had on over 52.5 points to be scored in this one.
Double Result - Detroit Lions/Detroit Lions @ 13/10
On the back of a 20-13 win at the Arizona Cardinals and a 42-29 home win over the Seattle Seahawks, the Lions have responded well to a 20-16 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.
Now with a 3-1 record, the Lions are playing catch-up to a Minnesota Vikings side that leads the way in the NFC North on 5-0.
The Lions flew out of the traps against the Seahawks last time out, scoring seven points in the first quarter and 14 in the second.
Detroit will look to do the same to the Cowboys and the Lions to be winning at half-time and full-time offers good value at 13/10.

Dak Prescott to throw a touchdown pass in each half (No OT) @ 11/10
The Cowboys have been heavily criticised for their lack of a running game this season, with only two rushing touchdowns scored this term so far and one of those coming from quarterback Prescott.
It means the onus is really on Prescott to push his throwing game to the limit to win football matches and he has thrown eight passing touchdowns so far this season.
On their own patch Dallas are always likely to be competitive at the very least and with that in mind, as well as their struggles on the ground, Prescott to throw a touchdown pass in each half (No OT) looks to be the way to go here.
