Betfred Super League champions Wigan came through their Magic Weekend clash with rivals St Helens to keep pace with Hull KR at the top, while the less said about Hull FC’s defeat to London the better.

The two meet at the Brick Community Stadium on Sunday (15:00) and our rugby league guru George Riley is on-hand with some Wigan Warriors vs Hull KR predictions.

Wigan Warriors vs Hull FC Odds

The home side are 1/50 - yes, one to fifty - to get the victory on Sunday. A Hull FC upset is priced at 12/1, while the draw is 28/1.

Favourite to cross the line first is the Warriors' Liam Marshall at 11/2.

Team News

Wigan boss Matt Peet makes three changes to his squad from Magic Weekend, with as many academy prospects given a chance against one of the worst teams in the league.

Forward Kaide Ellis is serving a one-match ban and veteran Liam Farrell misses out with a calf injury. Youngster Taylor Kerr is the other man to drop out from last week.

Into contention come Kian McDermott, Noah Hodkinson and Nathan Lowe as Wigan seek to avenge what was a shock 24-22 defeat in the corresponding fixture in Hull.

Top try scorer Liam Marshall is in line to make his 200th career appearance.

Hull FC make four changes to the squad beaten by bottom-club London at Magic.

Ligi Sao and Denive Balmforth are both banned, Jack Walker picked up a bicep injury early on against the Broncos and misses out, while on-loan prop Sam Eseh won’t feature against his parent club.

In their place, interim boss Simon Grix recalls Matty Laidlaw, Lennon Bursell, Will Hutchinson and Ryan Westerman - while prop Jack Ashworth could make his first appearance in two months after an ankle injury.

Wigan Warriors -28 @ 20/21

Anyone who watched Magic Weekend will struggle to find anything positive to say about Hull FC this week.

Add to that their dismal record in this fixture, which has seen Wigan win their last six matches at home to Hull, and the outcome of this one feels a formality.

Hull’s shock win over Wigan at the MKM Stadium was their performance of the season but they have not come close to producing anything lie that since and will not have enough to give the Warriors a game this weekend.

The only question is how many. It could realistically be a cricket score, and even if Hull find enough improvement to keep it close, I just can’t see it being close enough. I’m happy to stay on the handicap this week and give Hull a 28-point start, which seems crazy but here we are.

Jake Wardle - Anytime Try Scorer @ 1/1

There could be a lot of points for Wigan this weekend and you would back Liam Marshall to score a try or two on his 200th appearance. But at 2/5 it is more tempting to look elsewhere and I always like Wigan’s threat through the centres – alternating between Jake Wardle and Adam Keighran for a lot of my try scorer selections this season.

I feel like this is a good fixture for Wardle attacking Hull’s right edge and am taking the England man at 1-1 to cross here.
