Tennis Betting Tips: Michelsen to defeat Bergs at the Winston-Salem Open

We are edging ever closer to the US Open getting underway, with qualification taking place this week. But our attention remains on the Winston-Salem Open, where there are some cracking matches coming our way on Wednesday.
As usual, I pick out three matches for selections to provide my tennis betting tips for the day, and you will find them below.
Tennis Betting Tips - Wednesday, August 21
Alex Michelsen to beat Zizou Bergs 2-1 @ 13/5
Alex Michelsen had a short turnaround following his participation in Cincinnati before heading to the Winston-Salem Open, but he handled it very well to beat Marton Fucsovics. There was little to separate the pair, but Michelsen delivered his best tennis in crucial moments to advance to the third round.
Having been beaten at this stage of the tournament last year, Michelsen will be eager to progress to the quarter-finals this time around. The American will have a tough match against Zizou Bergs, who pulled off an impressive comeback against Tomas Martin Etcheverry. It is a match I can see going the distance, but I am backing Michelsen to come out on top.
Roman Safiullin to beat Christopher Eubanks 2-1 @ 13/5
This match should be one of the standouts of the day. Christopher Eubanks delivered one of his best performances in a long time against Hugo Gaston in the last round. He hit 26 winners and had just five unforced errors.
Roman Safiullin is also finding great form at the same time, which should tee up a cracker. He won a Challenger title last week so he will have plenty of confidence in his play, and this was seen in his victory over Corentin Moutet in straight sets.
These two have opposing play styles, with Eubanks holding the edge over the serve. But it is Safiullin's strong attacking baseline play that gives him the edge in this clash in my opinion. I think he will come out on top in a match that should go the distance.
David Goffin to beat Arthur Rinderknech @ 1/1
David Goffin delivered one of his best performances of the season to defeat Luciano Darderi in straight sets. It was a dominant display from the former top-10 player, and so he heads into today's match with Arthur Rinderknech full of confidence.
He hit just nine unforced errors against Darderi which suggests he is rediscovering his best tennis. Goffin will be eager to reach the quarter-finals at the Winston-Salem Open because he has failed to make the last-eight at any event at tour level this season. It is hard to comprehend after seeing his performance against Darderi but that is the ruthlessness of the ATP tour.
He will need to wary of Rinderknech's strong serve on the hard-court but I think his all-round game will be better than his opponents. He also holds the psychological advantage, having beaten Rinderknech on clay earlier this year.
