Melbourne Storm have not had the best of times at 4 Pines Park in the past, but they have a side who can put that right when they meet in the NRL on Friday morning (11:00 kick-off).

The Sea Eagles have won their last two games on their own patch against the Storm, but Manly currently find themselves on a three-game losing streak. After thrashing the Parramatta Eels last time out, Melbourne have the form to end their losing run at Brookvale.

Team News

Starting with the hosts, Jason Saab has recovered from a shoulder injury earlier than expected to feature in Friday’s game in Sydney.

Nathan Brown makes a return from a quad injury but will have to settle for a spot on the bench, while Matt Lodge drops out due to a biceps issue.

First-choice hooker Lachlan Croker is still an absentee as he works his way back from a concussion, meaning Karl Lawton will again start in his place.

As for the Storm, Melbourne have been hit by the news that playmaker Cameron Munster is set for up to 10 weeks on the sidelines with a groin injury.

Melbourne are hoping Jahrome Hughes can help fill the void but he is not certain to get the nod after sustaining a calf injury recently.

Grant Anderson has been named on the bench, while Trent Loiero will also be looking to make an impact off the sidelines at some stage on Friday.

Match Odds

Manly are 6/5 to claim a third home win in a row against Melbourne, who are 8/11 favourites to win at 4 Pines Park.

The draw is available at 18/1, while Melbourne to win by 1-12 points is currently 21/10.

Melbourne Storm -4 handicap @ 11/10

Melbourne have struggled at the home of the Sea Eagles in the past, but the Storm’s recent away form has been impressive.

Melbourne have had some recent joy on their travels - they have won their last three road games - and look ready to get a monkey off their back when it comes to playing at 4 Pines Park.

The Storm are second in the NRL standings for a reason and, with the help of Hughes hopefully in the halfbacks, they ought to leave New South Wales with what would be their ninth win of the season, while also falling on the right side of the -4 handicap on offer.

Melbourne Storm-Melbourne Storm double result @ 5/4

Expect Melbourne to come out of the blocks quickly and try to put this game to bed early.

The last time these sides met in June last year, the Storm led 10-6 at the break before going on to triumph 24-6.

A similar scoreline could well be on the cards on this occasion, as the Storm look to move level with Cronulla Sharks at the top of the standings.
