Three good winners in the ITV races on Saturday, and an unfortunate second, mugged on the line. The end to a decent week then - and here's to more of the same over the coming days.

Racing on Tuesday March 26th comes from Taunton and Newcastle (jumps), with all-weather flat action taking place at Southwell and Dundalk. Let's go with a tried and trusted path - and the Nottinghamshire venue (nine-race card) therefore will provide the backdrop for our Lucky 15 betting tips, Tuesday.

Lucky 15 betting tips Tuesday

  • 16:45 Southwell - The Dragon King @ 11/4
  • 17:45 Southwell - Kindest Nation @ 3/1
  • 18:45 Southwell - Dawn Of Liberation @ 13/8
  • 19:15 Southwell - Chiedozie @ 8/1

16:45 Southwell - The Dragon King @ 11/4

Unraced two-year-olds contest this little maiden, so it's impossible to be remotely confident about the outcome. However, there will be plenty of support I'll wager for this Middleham Park Racing club entry, trained by the admirable Clive Cox and ridden by Derby-winning pilot Richard Kingscote.

He's by Group-winning sprinter Invincible Army out of a Dutch Art mare, and he's entered in a couple of valuable sales races down the line. This might just throw up a good 'un or two, and fingers crossed that this bay colt is one of them.

17:45 Southwell - Kindest Nation @ 3/1

Maiden 7f types now, the majority of which are three-year-olds, and a selection trained by Hugo Palmer and ridden by Oisin Murphy.

One run so far for this daughter of Sioux Nation, a promising effort at Newcastle on their Tapeta surface - the same as that employed by Southwell. Dwelt at the start, and then made steady headway as the penny began to drop.

Palmer is a very useful handler and Murphy taking the reins I see as a big plus. With normal improvement for the Gosforth Park experience she's entitled to nearly win. The three close-up behind the winner at Newcastle have all run very well since so the form looks solid.

18:45 Southwell - Dawn Of Liberation @ 13/8

Ruth Carr trains (winner here five days ago), and Lewis Edmonds, on board last time, takes the mount.

Dawn Of Liberation left previous performances well behind the last day when finishing a close-up third in a Class 3 at Newcastle. Takes a drop to a 4 this evening, and in his Richard Hannon days he won at Goodwood off 92. There's the Tapeta-to-Tapeta angle again, which can be significant as he's never run here before.

He goes off a mark of 86 and there's evidence, courtesy of that last spin, that Ruth and her team, only recently having acquired the horse, are getting the five-year-old gelding back to something like his best. If that's the case he surely takes this.

19:15 Southwell - Chiedozie @ 8/1

Three-year-old, Class 5 handicap sprinters (6f), and the selection sees Saffie Osborne riding for Charlie Hills.

Chiedozie has had four career starts, and the best was readily his last - a running-on second over the trip on Chelmsford's all-weather Polytrack. We need to take on trust his ability to act upon the Tapeta but that was a useful effort in Essex.

He beat a fancied Haggas horse there among others and the winner had scored previously too. Could be a first success for a little while for his excellent trainer, but the horse seemed refreshed last time after a 192-day break and might just be improving.

If you're playing, enjoy as always, and good luck!

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £429 for your total £7.50 stake.
