Leg 1 – AC Milan vs Salernitana – AC Milan win and Over 3.5 Goals @ 5/6

The Rossoneri will bid farewell to manager Stefano Pioli after five years in charge. Despite last weekend’s defeat, 3-1 in Turin, AC Milan will end the season in second place and with more points in the table compared to a year ago.

Overall it has been a positive campaign for the hosts who have won 12 times in front of their fans. If they manage to get three points also this Saturday, they’ll end the season with the second-best domestic record behind champions Inter.

At the San Siro, AC Milan have been almost ruthless against teams fighting to avoid relegation, having won six out of their seven matches.

The hosts have scored five in their last game against Cagliari and are likely to hit at least as many against bottom of the table Salernitana.

With 78 goals conceded, the visitors have got the worst defensive record in Serie A. Stefano Colantuon’s men have only kept two clean sheets all season and the last one came 14 match days ago against Torino.

Salernitana are winless since December 30 and they’ve only collected four draws since then. Recently they have conceded four goals on the road against Atalanta, Inter and Lazio and three against Bologna.

Leg 2 – Atalanta vs Torino – Both Teams To Score – Yes @ 4/6

Fresh from their Europa League’s triumph, Atalanta could ruin Roma’s season if they finish in the top four. In fact, the Bergamaschi are already qualified for next season’s Champions League, but Italy will have six teams in the competition only if ‘La Dea’ end the campaign in fifth place.

The situation is further complicated by the fact Atalanta will play knowing the results of the two teams currently in front of them, Bologna and Juventus, and also still have a game in hand, against Fiorentina, scheduled for Sunday 2 June.

Torino need to win, or at least to match Napoli’s result against Lecce, to keep their hopes alive of playing in the Conference League next season. In fact if Fiorentina win the Conference League, Serie A will qualify a record number of nine teams to the European competitions.

Returning to play in Europe after five years represents a big motivation for Ivan Juric’s men who have only lost two of the last 11 games. But, on the road, the Granata have only won five times and never against top sides in Italy, however they’ve scored in seven of the last eight trips.

Will Atalanta be still hungover after their success? The Orobici have only lost four home games so far and failed to score just twice (against Juventus and Liverpool) in all competitions.

Leg 3 - Empoli vs Roma – Draw Or Roma @ 4/5

Despite Empoli being desperate for a win, it’s hard not to back the visitors with such good odds.

The Tuscan side are far from irresistible when they play at home. In fact at the ‘Stadio Castellani’ Davide Nicola’s men have only won four games, three of which without conceding, but none of them against top-7 teams in Italy.

In front of their fans Empoli have been defeated by Juventus, Inter, Atalanta, Lazio, AC Milan and Bologna with an aggregate score of 12-0.

Forget for a moment the Giallorossi won the reverse fixture 7-0 in September. Back then Mourinho was still in charge and Empoli have changed two managers since.

Ultimately, credibility is at stake for Daniele De Rossi and his boyhood club. Just imagine how much criticism they’ll receive if they won’t put enough effort and hand Empoli the win.

Since mid-January, the Giallorossi have only lost three league games (four overall, including the defeat against Leverkusen), all against top sides: Inter, Bologna and Atalanta.

This season, they’ve also advanced to the Europa League’s semi-final and got very close to beating the German champions away from home.

Leg 4 - Frosinone vs Udinese – Both Teams To Score – Yes @ 4/6

Whichever of these two sides lose on Sunday is probably destined to Serie B, although a potential relegation play-off is also on the cards, should Empoli draw against Roma.

Udinese squandered a huge number of points in the last few minutes of games, but, at least, last month’s change on the bench has produced the desired effect.

In fact, under Fabio Cannavaro the Friulani have only lost one of five games.

Frosinone can play for two out of three results: in fact, a draw would see them saved, even if Empoli win against Roma.

On paper, the visitors remain the stronger side, but Frosinone’s home form has been excellent.

The Ciociari have only won two of their last 16 Serie A games, but have collected 87% of their league points (35 in total) at the ‘Benito Stirpe’.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s men have Serie A’s 10th-best attack, with 44 goals scored (only four less than Lazio), but thanks to their recent defensive solidity, they’re inching closer to achieving a historical salvation.

In fact, newly-promoted Frosinone have kept five clean sheets in their last seven games and have been defeated only once (5-0 by Inter at home) in the last eight matches.

If Empoli takes the lead early, this game would probably become highly entertaining, with plenty of chances on both sides. Thirteen out of Frosinone’s 18 home games have ended with both teams on the scoresheet and 22 Udinese’s games have produced the same outcome.
