Today's live football on TV sees the second batch of round of 16 clashes at Euro 2024 take place, including England in action against Slovakia. The other fixture taking place sees Spain take on the defiant and history-making Georgia, who will be hoping for more

England have made it through to the knockout stage of Euro 2024 but they can count themselves lucky. They managed to top the group with five points and enter the more favourable side of the draw, but their performances so far have been uninspiring.

The players were booed off after their 0-0 draw with Slovenia which rounded off the group stage and that followed another disappointing display against Denmark. More fans have turned on Gareth Southgate for these flat performances and many have lost their optimism for what this summer could bring.

This will need to change now that the knockout stage has begun. Slovakia will provide them with a tough test but this is where the quality of the attacking players needs to shine through.

Spain are the only team to have progressed to the round of 16 having taken maximum points from the group stage. Luis de la Fuente's men have been one of the most impressive sides in Germany so far and many believe they have what it takes to go all the way.

They have looked slick in attack but they have yet to be really tested defensively, something which Georgia will hope to remedy on Sunday. The Crusaders have triumphed against the odds to get to the knockout stage in what is the nation's first-ever appearance in a major tournament.

Georgia have been a joy to watch for their courage in attack and their excellent discipline and organisation at the back. Their 2-0 win over Portugal last time out was thoroughly deserved and it is something that La Roja should be wary of ahead of their meeting in Cologne.
