Netherlands will conclude their Euro 2024 preparations on Monday night (19:45, live on Premier Sports 1), when they face Iceland at Stadion Feijenoord.

Ronald Koeman's side enter the contest off the back of a 4-0 triumph over Canada, while Iceland will be looking to build on their famous 1-0 win over England last Friday. Below you can find my Netherlands vs Iceland prediction, as well as the latest team news and odds.

Netherlands vs Iceland Prediction

  • Netherlands to win to nil @ 9/10
  • Cody Gakpo to score first @ 4/1

Team News

Frenkie de Jong's involvement for the Netherlands remains unclear as he missed the back end of the season with an ankle injury, meaning that Teun Koopmeiners could come into the engine room.

Virgil Van Dijk was a second-half substitute last time out against Canada and could be set to start on Monday night. The likes of Cody Gakpo, Wout Weghorst, Stefan De Vrij and Donyell Malen could also be given a run-out having been on the bench on Wednesday.

Iceland may name an unchanged side from the one that beat England on Friday night, with Jon Thorsteinsson likely to feature in attack after netting the winner.

Unsurprisingly, the Netherlands are heavy favourites for this game at 1/6, giving them a theoretical chance of 85.7% of finishing their Euro 2024 preparations with a victory.

Iceland are 12/1, while the draw can be backed at 11/2.

Netherlands to win to nil @ 9/10

Iceland will be brimming with confidence after another famous triumph over England  but they may struggle to turn this belief into victory against a strong Dutch side.

The Netherlands have won five of their last six in all competitions – the only blemish being a 2-1 defeat to Euro 2024 hosts Germany – while each of these five victories came accompanied with clean sheets.

I can see the away side frustrating Ronald Koeman's men, but the Dutch have an abundance of talent that should be able to get the job done in Rotterdam. Virgil Van Dijk has been at the heart of the Netherlands' new found defensive solidity, and I'm expecting him to lead his side to another defensive shutout here.

Netherlands to win to nil at 9-10

Cody Gakpo to score first @ 4/1

The Liverpool forward scored 16 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions for the Reds last season but has been amongst the goals for his country recently.

The former PSV Eindhoven man has found the net three times in his last six appearances for the Netherlands, and I've opted for him to open the scoring, rather than score anytime, for further value.

Cody Gakpo to score first at 4-1
