Team News

Denmark made one change to their starting XI after drawing 1-1 with Slovenia, dropping Alexander Bah for Joakim Maehle at right wing-back.

Kasper Hjulmand may opt to name an unchanged side this time around after a positive showing in their 1-1 stalemate with England, although Yussuf Poulsen will be pushing for a start up top after watching Jonas Wind and Rasmus Hojlund go goalless so far in Germany.

It took Serbia until the fifth minute of added time in the second half to score and level up 1-1 with Slovenia on Thursday, and after losing 1-0 to England four days prior, several players are under scrutiny.

Neither Dusan Vlahovic nor Aleksandr Mitrovic have got off the mark yet, and after netting Serbia's equaliser last week, Luka Jovic may start in place of one, more likely Vlahovic.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will be pushing for a return to the starting XI after being dropped to the bench against Slovenia, while Lazar Samardzic and Mijat Gacinovic are other options to consider to add more attacking threat from midfield.

Denmark are 6/5 favourites on Tuesday, giving them an implied win probability of 45.5%, while Serbia are 21/10, or a 32.3% chance, to record their first victory of Euro 2024.

The draw can be backed at 13/5 and both teams to score at 8/13, while Hojlund and Mitrovic (both 11/2) are favourites to open the scoring in Munich.

Denmark or draw & both teams to score @ 23/20

Denmark are unbeaten so far in Group C after recording back-to-back 1-1's, and they've only been behind for 16 minutes in total. As expected, they're a tough nut to crack, with a three-man central defence of Joachim Andersen, Andreas Christensen and Jannik Vestergaard holding firm in front of Kasper Schmeichel in goal.

I think they will avoid defeat again, though I'm not totally confident about their chances of taking all three points. Serbia have been disappointing so far this tournament, failing to show any real fluency in attack, but as they showed against England and Slovenia, they will give things a go right until the very end.

Ultimately, Serbia's need to win should help the Danes, as they can afford to soak up pressure and hit the Serbs on the counterattack, especially in the second half with the introduction of players like Mikkel Damsgaard and Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Both teams to score has landed in both Denmark games in Group C, and with both sides eager to win on Tuesday, we should see a goal on either side again.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg anytime scorer @ 6/1

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg failed to score in any of his 36 Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur last season and hasn't scored at Euro 2024 so far, but there is a method to the madness of backing him to fire against the Serbs.

The 28-year-old found the net in both of Denmark's pre-tournament friendlies, scoring a second-minute opener against Sweden before taking 10 minutes longer to find the breakthrough against Norway three days later.

Hojbjerg hasn't been scared to get shots away in Germany, having an effort blocked against Slovenia and attempting five shots versus England. Remarkably, he hit the target with four of his efforts, all of which came outside the box, highlighting his ability to strike the ball from distance.

His midfield partner - Morten Hjulmand - was the hero against the Three Lions with a long-range strike, and I fancy Hojbjerg to put himself in the headlines this time around.

Correct score - Denmark 2-1 @ 15/2

I'm torn between a third successive 1-1 for Denmark or a 2-1 win for the Danes, but it is the latter that I will plump for here.

I just think Denmark are a much more cohesive unit than Serbia, who showed little attacking threat against England and laboured against Slovenia before eventually levelling in the dying embers.

Serbia have to win to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the last 16, and I think that will play into the hands of Denmark, who should be able to pick off their opponents.
